So, you have decided to learn Japanese. Congrats!
But that’s not enough. Maybe you bought yourself a textbook, started studying or even join an online Japanese course, and now you’re starting to despair.
Japanese is hard! Now you don’t just want to learn Japanese. Why are there so many kanji?
Don’t worry, my friend. Yes, studying a language does take time, and there’s no fast track to real fluency. However, I developed a personal method to help you learn faster.
I started studying japanese when I was 12 years old in a small japanese colony formed by japanese immigrants where I was living. My first experience with this language was through its culture. There was an annual event called 'UNDŌKAI' which means an athletic meeting or a sports day. It was held by a Japanese association that had its headquarters near my home.
After this event, I decided to take japenese lessons on Saturdays morning classes for immigrants' children. I studied there for seven years and I developed a personal method which launched my career with the Japanese International Cooperation Agency and granted me a fellowship to study in Japan. Nowadays, I perform translations per institucional demands and teach japanese online.
